Pool Light
The Pool light was designed as a playful response to the 2021 UK 'right to repair laws' which outlined a future goal of extending product life spans, through legally requiring manufacturers to provide spare parts - allowing consumers to easily repair their own products. The Pool Light responds to these goals by providing an easily repairable and fully recyclable product, constructed only with four layers of 3mm ply and 2 dowel joints. The user can easily access the lighting hub, which can be replaced to continue the life span of the product. The Pool light functions as a fun portable or wall mounted warm glow, creating a sense of ambience within and throughout a space.
